10-17-01 Well it's been 7 days since surgery. I actually feel pretty darn good. The first few nights home were uncomfortable, just couldn't find the right position to get into to rest. My major problem is getting in the liquids water and soups. I never thought eating would be so hard. I have a very positive attitude even though I haven't seen any weight loss yet. Maybe it will all drop at one time. ha ha, just like the cartoons. Anyway, glad I had it done and will be pleased when I'm released to go back to work.

Hi Jill, congrats on your recent surgery. Glad to hear all is going well. I wish you a speedy recovery w/no complications. I live in Peoria & has surgery 7/18. I have lost 60lbs so far. This was the best decision I could have made for myself. Take care of yourself. Please let me know if there are any questions I can answer for you. My email is [email protected]. Lorie!!

Thursday- Jill passed her leak test and had the NG tube removed-- 1 step closer to going home-- Brought Jill home on Friday afternoon-She was doing better as some of the pain medication wore off. I was now able to understand what she was saying and some of it was not very pretty. In spite of the pain-abd pressure, she says she would still do it all over again. Hope she can keep that attitude up. It's been difficult for her to find a comfortable position to sleep but she is managing quite well. ( I think) .

Jill came through surgery just fine. She suffered from post anesthesia nausea but a little meds and she was ok. Got her up to walk some this evening and all was well. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Jeff
