HI WE GOT A SUPPORT MEETING GOING ON IN GREAT FALLS NOW...ITS EVERY 4 TH THURSDAY IN THE MONTH. AT THE BENEFIS WEST CAMPUS ( OLD COLUMBUS HOSPITAL) FROM 6:30-8:30 PM. ************************************************************************************** "THE NEXT MEETING IS CHANGED TO NOVEMBER 29 TH BECAUSE OF THANKSGIVING WEEK,PLZ MAKE NOTE OF THAT !!! Hi Jana !!! Congratulation on your upcomming surgery ! I had mine June 25 th 2001 with Dr.Rohrer and he did a great job.I lost as todate 70 lbs and feeling much better.Most of my Co-morbit health problems are no longer here and I would do it over again in a heartbeat.. Good luck and a speedy recovery,GOD BLESS YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY !!!! There are also support meetings in Great Falls,MT at the Benefis West Campus(old Columbus Hospital) every 4 Th Thursday in the months from 6:30-8:30 pm.Hope You can join us there...We'd love to have you !!!

Hi Jana~I too was a Diabetic before WLS.My glucose has now been in the normal range for 6 months and so has my blood pressure.I am off all medications (I was taking 5 a day) and I feel terrific.I had the same fears you are experiencing now.I was a comfort and stress eater too,but no more! It is pretty much impossible to eat all the time with this surgery and you won't want to.You will be satisfied with a small amount and you won't want anymore.Food will no longer control you...it's great! As for the saggy skin there is no way to predict before hand if you will have it or not.After an over 70 lb loss,I have a little but not much.But I will tell you,I would rather be saggy than back to being obese and unhealthy any day!! I wish you the very best with your surgery.It really will be the greatest thing you have ever done for yourself.Keep us posted. God Bless~Kim
