Good News!!! Lori came home Friday. I talked to her today. She had a rough day Saturday. It sounds like she had a bad dumping episode from some yogurt that she ate. But she is feeling better today. She goes back to the doctor on Tuesday to get her shunt out and hopefully her recovery will be all downhill from there. She will be back on the computer as soon as she feels up to it. Congrats Lori!!! So glad to hear that you are home! Take care and Big Hugs!

I talked to Lori yesterday (on the 4th) but I didn't get a chance to post. She was feeling quite sore from her 2nd surgery but she is able to drink and eat a little bit now. She has a lot of gas and is walking to try to get rid of it. She will have the shunt in for a few days to help drain what has leaked from her bile duct. She hopes to be home this weekend. If you haven't already done so, please go to her surgery page and wish her well. I know she will enjoy reading them when she goes home.

ANGEL UPDATE - Lori had to have a second surgery this afternoon to repair the leak that she has. They apparently put a shunt under her liver. I'm not sure what this does but hopefully it takes care of the problem. This is about all the information I was able to get as she was just coming out of recovery. I hope to talk to her tomorrow. Prayers please!

Lori - I had the same problem with a gallbladder removal (the liver leak) - it wasn't any fun. Best of luck to you.

ANGEL UPDATE - Lori put in a rough weekend but she said she is feeling a little better tonight. They think she has a leak from the liver or the bile duct. She said this is related to her gallbladder removal. The doctor said it could take a couple more days but is hoping it will repair itself. The poor thing still can't have any fluids and is especially dry because of her CPAP machine. But even with all this, she still has a great attitude. She's a real trooper! I hope she gets to come home soon.
