Hi Barbara, I'm glad you've got a responsible surgeon who emphasizes both sides of this life-altering surgery. My surgeon was also very conscientious about making sure I was well-informed. That made a world of difference in how prepared I was for after the surgery and all the changes; I think this is partly why I'm doing so well right now. My prayers and wishes are with you for a safe and successful surgery! :-)

barbara - Good luck on your upcoming surgery. You will do great. My wife Marie Katz had open RNY sep18th an he is down 42 pounds already :) We will keep you in our prayers. See you on the otherside..Hugz and God Bless
