Hi Michelle, I loved the Top 100 reasons list you put on the board. Unfortunately, I can relate to just about all of them! How sad for me. One day, when I ever get approved, I will have to cross each of these off as they don't relate to me! That will be something to look forward to! Have a great day!

Hi Michelle, I am the original poster about the NSAID, Vioxx, Celebrex issue. According to the BTC the reason we can no longer take these medications is that they can cause damage to the pouch along with bleeding and ulcers. I personally tried to take Vioxx and wound up throwing it up along with some blood (a little but there none the less) I immediately stopped taking it and after about a day had no more stomach upset. The only thing I can say is in today's world the only person who really cares about your health is you. The health care system is overwhelmed and overworked. I can't tell you how many times I have had to correct a doctor since my surgery. I am worried enough about my surgery next week. Still I'd rather be considered a pain in the butt then have something go wrong. Take care. Liz

Hi Michelle, Thanks for your excellent post today. I agree with you 100% and could not have conveyed it any better than you did. Don't worry about being "long-winded." I think of your posts only as articulate and well thought out. My best wishes to you in your health issues, Brenda P.S. I had to post to your surgery page 'cuz I'm at work.

Michelle - I wanted to say thanks for your very honest words in your post today. I think we all need to remind ourselved that this is indeed a public forum and that everyone has their own opinions, which may or may not jive with our opinions. I always find your posts well thought-out and to the point! Lisa

Michelle -Thank you for your Honesty regarding how you view others who are MO now. In a small way it reminds me of how I viewed smokers after I quit smoking - that was 27 years ago and my feelings have changed about that many times over the years. I'm so sorry for what you and your family have been going through with your brother - I am pre-op and have had many of the same feelings. Two years ago I though this surgery was disgusting and only for people who had no backbone to "do it themselves" or for people who were at the court of last resort. Basically that was a cover up for fear. Fear of the surgery and not being educated regarding the surgery, and fear of what it would be like if I really lost weight - and Now I know better. I want to shout it from the rooftops about this surgery opportunity! I want to grab MO people by the shouldders and shake them to get them to understand they have a chance at a new life now! Where I'm at now with feelings, is feeling so sad and sorry for my fellow MO people. But I sure understand what you have said. "Nana" Sharon

Michelle - thanks for the heads up on the virus - I used the site you posted and found a few viruses and was able to delete them; then I had my computer guy over here to clean up both of my computers and I now have a better virus program on here (the latest Norton) which found the virus you talked about! Thanks again - I am virus free and the email I send are virus free. I wish everyone would "clean up" their act! "Nana" Sharon

Michelle, I'm so sorry that you've gone through this traumatic experience. Thank God that you are cancer free! I hope the plastic surgeon or another surgeon is able to correct the damage done with results that you can be at peace with. God bless you always.
