Lyn, sorry your still in the, "why did I" stage. But believe me it will pass. I had the runs for the first 3 weeks, but when you on clear liquids I think that is normal. As soon as I got on some real food, farina and such, things started to get better. I am 6wks. 3 days post-op and feel great. I am back to work and down 46 lbs. Hang in there. Sorry you aren't past the sorry I did this time yet but be patient it is just around the corner. I am 6 weeks post-op and I am feeling real good. I found that milk which never bothered me before was giving me the bloating and I added lactaid to it and everything has been fine since. At first protein shakes and water where my mainstay after 3rd week the soft foods went down and stayed good. Good luck

CONGRATS ON YOUR SURGERY. I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST. A SPEEDY RECOVERY AND A RAPID WEIGHT LOSS. I HAD MY OPEN RNY ON 6-28-01 AND MY FURRY DAUGHTER WAS VERY HAPPY WHEN I RETURNED ALSO!! I COULD NOT LET MY DOG SLEEP WITH ME, SHE WEIGHS 70 LBS (AUSTRAILIAN SHEPHERD, NO TAIL!!) SHE TRIED TO GET UP ON THE BED, BUT I WAS AFRAID SHE WOULD TRY TO LAY ON MY STOMACH. SHE WAS VERY CAREFUL. I THINK DOGS CAN SENSE WHEN THEY SHOULD BE CAREFUL.
