5/29/02 Hi Ammy. I am in the process of waiting for insurance approval and checking some local profile pages. I am wondering how you are doing in your WLS journey? I hope you are feeling better than last post. Please come by and give us an update. Thanks

Ammy ~ I also live in Sioux Falls. I'm so sorry you had so many problems with surgery. Yes, I had a terrible "after shower" experience, too, and WANTED to pass out and almost did. Tone the water temp down as our new body can't handle it as well anymore. Contact me if you ever want to talk - I'm 8 days post-op from an open RNY. Take care!

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and a happy healthy life! I know that you will heal soon, grow stronger each day, and in time the surgery will do its job and you will be on your way to your new thinner, healthier life! I am praying for God to wrap you in his loving arms and to tenderly minister his healing and strength to you until all fear is gone, you are healed, and back with us on the AMOS boards. May Gods' many blessings flow to you at this time. Pastor Kay

AMMY~~ May you always have an Angel by your side. Watching out for you in all the things you do. Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days. Finding ways for your wishes and dreams to come true. Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun. Giving you the strength of serenity as your guide. May you always have love and comfort and courage.

Ammy were always scared of the unknown and there's nothing wrong in that, but don't let it over take your life. I was calm as could be because I knew it was going to be a better life. Just keep reminding yourself why your doing this. I will not lie to you, people feel pain different I for one didn't have much pain, but if you do tell them don't be afraid of being a wimp, just take what you need to get you through to a better life. I love my new life and have only lost 49 pounds so far surgery 2/25/02 and you will too, once the worse part is over.
