Jennifer, The week before surgery is an experience in itself. Personally, I preferred the week after surgery; it was easier! Not to worry, after the 26th you can just concentrate on getting healthier with every new day. This surgery really does change lives for the better; it works. A big part of why I had it was my 9 year old daughter; I wanted to be active and healthy. I could NOT do it on my own for "All the Tea in China". I hope all your weight loss dreams come true. I'm down 85 lbs since June and just wish I had done it sooner. Keep it positive. Best wishes,

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved.
