Hi Evelyn, I've experienced the same thing where my pouch seems to be rockin & rollin.... The part of the stomach where your pouch is made is not used to stretching or holding food. It takes some time for it to get used to it's new job! Best wishes to you.

Everyln, Don't sweat it. You are doing great. Do you know that 40 pounds in 6 weeks is greater than the average? The average weight loss is 20 pounds for the first two months and then ten pounds each month after that. (Source -- two doctor offices) So at that rate you should only lose 30 pounds in 6 weeks. We all lose faster or slower than others. To me, its kinda like finances. I might have a "goal" to make as much as Bill Gates, but then when reality hits me I'm disappointed. But if I measure myself against the average income in the US, then I might not be so disappointed. You are doing great. Measure against the "average" and then readjust your eating habits if you aren't making those.

Evelyn sweetie you are doing great!!! do your math , a pound a day!! so...6 weeks times 7 days = 42 pounds , you should make your 40 pounds by then. a pound a day is great!!!! that would be 30 pounds a month at your current rate , that is so awesome, and remember the pounds stop so the inches can come off then they start again!! hugs to you

Evelyn, my first comment to you would have to be when was the last time that you lost 17 pounds in 17 days? Hon, you are only 17 days post op. Please do not worry about how much weight you lose, you will lose it. We all lose it at different rates, but it will happen. Right now you need to focus on healing. These things take time and you will get there. 17 pounds is marvelous. Take each day as it comes and you will do fine. I try not to focus on the big picture because it can become overwhelming and you will start doubting yourself. Set a small goal and work for that. 40 pounds in 6 weeks is a great goal, but please do not beat yourself up if you don't get there on that exact timetable, but know that you will get there. One day, one step at a time. Give yourself time to heal and time to learn about this tool and you will amaze yourself! Every day is amazing to me. Enjoy this journey of self discovery. Hugs!
