Hello Lynn - How exciting and <b>CONGRATULATIONS</b> your chance at a healthier life is just days away. What a happy and important time for you. Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions. This is a new learning experience for all of us that choose this path and we draw so much from each other. I look forward to reading all the wonderful and exciting changes that you will be blessed with as you begin to make your journey to the healthier and thinner side! It is time to start living life for YOU. This surgery is the first step of many that will lead you in the direction of your newly founded freedom. (My chance at freedom was 11 months ago. I've lost a 177 pounds, only 30 more to goal!!) Embrace life, meet it head on, keep your head held high and a smile on your face. My prayers and best wishes are with you! <i>"To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally <u>unlike</u> your past. Your history is not your destiny." -- Alan Cohen </i> ....Hugs and Smiles : )

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
