Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 81 pounds!!! Good luck!

Hello Sandy - Your angel, Danielle, shared the GOOD news with us. You've made it through surgery just fine and are now on the path to recovery. There will be some learning curves ahead, but it's soooooooooooooo worth it. My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. It'll be tough at times and you'll find that you'd much rather cuddle with your pillow then get out of bed. Don't!! Get up and walk, walk and walk it'll help with the overall surgery and recovery results. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, <u>YOU are worth it.</u> Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. One final thing, <b>CELEBRATE</b> all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on <i>numbers</i>, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey - don't let any of them slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!! <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> ....Hugs and smiles : )
