Brandy~ Hang in there girl! Hopefully it will be something simple for the reason you were denied. I had a run around with Cigna also but was approved the first time. You need to stick to your guns. Hi Brandy, did Cigna tell you why they denied you? I was denied because they said they didn't have 3 of the things they require (they DID have 2 of them, but the 3rd, a letter from my pcp saying I was healthy enough for surgery was sent after the denial because I wasn't told I needed it!) I got the approval phone call on Feb. 22nd and had surgery on Feb. 28th. Two weeks after surgery, I got a denial of payment letter in the mail. I am now battling that (although I think they are going to pay!) Good luck on the appeals, this website had some info in the library that might help and several members have posted their appeal letters on their profiles.
