I've heard from Donna at home, and she seems to be in pretty good spirits. She's been successful in reducing her pain meds to a manageable level, too, and that's always good news! She said there have been NO complications so far, either. The side-effects of the morphine were the only thing that gave her any trouble: feeling dizzy and/or nauseous. Other than that, it sounds as if Donna has no regrets and is looking forward to the future. Keep on encouraging her, won't you? Thanks! KC

Hi everyone! Donna is doing very well at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. While I was visiting her and her husband, Steve, this afternoon, she explained to me all that had happened since the procedure was done Wednesday morning. She's very alert and upbeat. A nurse came to get her up for her first walk, but about 3 steps outside her door, the aide with a wheelchair came along to take her for a "leak" test. She had to go get that out of the way before continuing with her walk. Donna's really counting on all of us to help keep her spirits up and reassuring her that she's definitely on the right path, and I'm sure you'll all contribute to that support system! She will be going home in the morning. More news when it becomes available. "Angel" Kay Cramer 5-23-02, 5:30pm

Hi *everyone* -- I'm going to be seeing Donna at the hospital mid-afternoon on Thursday, the 23rd, and will report back right here as soon as I learn how well she's recovering from her procedure. Donna, if you're reading this yourself, know that your friends are all praying for you still, and everyone's eager to hear how well you're doing. See you soon! Love ya, Kay Cramer (Your "Angel")
