Hi Stephanie, thanks so much for your honest sharing. I am planning to have Dr. Pohl do the lap band procedure. I've had everything but the endoscopy done with an appt on 11/17 to talk about scheduling. I'm also a workaholic and interested in so many things that I shoot myself in the foot with lack of self care. I really needed to know that you were pleased with Dr. P.'s competance with the LB- so few of us, I really needed an ally. Your comments on opinions from friends and family about the "rightness or wrongness" of each surgery was SOOOO helpful! I just want to get it done and do everything I can to have make the most of my new "tool"-love that expression. Thanks a million Kris

Hi Stephanie N! Congrats on having your surgery! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you today and that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated, swift recovery. You are an official loser!! Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- Congratulations on your surgery date and may God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Good luck and God Bless!!!
