Hello Florrie and Congratulations!!!! I am so glad to hear that you are not only doing well, but excelling at your recovery! I have been home now for less than a week, and am doing well, but still pretty uncomfortable and very impatient! So great to hear you are well and I wish you a very wonderful 2001! Love ya lots,

ANGEL UPDATE!! Spoke w/ Florrie again..she is experiencing some discomfort..a little more than usual, so they will probably keep her until Tues. or Wed. but nothing to be concerned about..her spirits are high!! Even brought me up when I spoke to her..isn't that something? She is able to get around w/ a walker and has taken several showers. Had her first nights "rest" last night..thank goodness...She has actually eaten some pureed food..Way to go Florrie!! Keep her in your prayers and thoughts still!! We're proud of you Florrie!!

Angel reporting for duty!!!!Very happy to say I spoke w/ Florrie this morning and she seems to be in good spirits! They released her from ICU yesterday and today she will be moving to room 15 at Eisenhower Medical Center..I have to say I was a little worried because I called the night of her surgery and the nurses kept telling me to call back - that they were discussing her status..I am sure now they were simply busy ..Florrie hasn't been able to walk yet..they just took her off the epidural ..so the feeling is starting to "come back" in her legs..Not only did they do OPEN RNY but also removed her gall bladder and her appendix! 3 in one day! She's not sure how long she will be in the hospital..but at this point she is in much need of rest..KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS! for a speedy recovery and that she may get some sleep..Thank you God for Florrie and may she begin a new wonderful - HEALTHY LIFE!! We love you Florrie!! Alicia Culpepper..Your Angel on Earth..

Hello Florrie..I wanted you to know you are in my prayers..I am on hands and knees for you..I am sorry I haven't spoke to you in a while..I have had to stay with my mom ..she is helping me w/ my children since my surgery was on the 14th!!!I know God is by your side..my thoughts and prayers..ALicia Culpepper

Hi there Florrie,, How great to be able to start out the new year with a new you.. Florrie, I hope that your surgery and recovery goes well, and soon you'll be able to post the pounds that are gone forever. And just think how better you'll feel when you play with your grandsons..
