HELLO JESSIE, YOUR STORY WAS INSPIRING.....ON 2/6/04 I WENT IN THE HOSPITAL FOR AN OPEN RNY AND WHEN I AWOKE IN RECOVERING I FOUND OUT THE SURGERY COULD NOT BE DONE. ON FRIDAY I WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND HE SUGGESTED THE DS AND MAKE A REFERAL. I AM EXCITED AND DONE SOME READING UP ON THIS PROCEDURE. IF YOU COULD EMAIL I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. Well, Jess, it's here - you lucky dog. I told everybody on the Maguire DS support group (an awesome bunch of people) that you'll be there on Feb. 2nd. This really great lady who started the group is going to be on the same floor on Feb. 5th. She wants to be your walking buddy. There's nobody who knows more about this surgery than Kris. Take advantage of her knowledge. You'll be gone by the time I get there on Feb. 9th, but just remember I'll be thinking about you and praying for you all day Monday. Have Kris let us know how things are going. I'm following right behind your footsteps. You're leading the way for me. God bless you! Kathy

I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!
