hi joel first let me say well done on been banded & second your no sissy most men wouldnt go to see a doctor for been over weight heck most men wont get their prostate checked so good luck on the losing side ps i cant wait to be where you are karenj mahon

Good luck on your surgery. Dr. Snyder is awesome. The surgery staff is great. I was banded on 4-13-06. Stay strong.

Congratulations! Only a few more days and you will be in Band- Land! You will be fine as Dr. Snyder is simply the BEST! And I wholeheartedly agree with your opinion about Dr. Pluss- he is a pompus windbag!- You will be in my thoughts on the 19th- I was banded on 03-07-06! Again - congrats! Carola C

You are about to embark on the most amazing transformation of you mind, body and soul. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run. Sending Prayers your way that the Lord will guide your surgeon’s hands. May the guardian angels wrap their loving arms of protection around you during your surgery and recovery . Joel, Have the Greatest Ever Next Wednesday!!!! It’s good to see more guys out here on Obesity Help. We make up a small minority of the people having Weight Loss Surgery, but tend to lose down quicker and with fewer hassles than the women due to Male Physiology. I’m just dropping by to let you know that there’s a huge crowd of strangers out here pulling for you and holding you in our prayers. Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use.
