I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~

Hi Katie! It is very very common for people to hit a plateau after a couple of months. I know you have heard it before, but your body needs time to adjust to your lower food intake and all the changes you are going through. Remember to do what you are suppose to do and you WILL get to where you want to go. You have to fight those self-defeating thoughts. That will get you no where fast! You will make it and you will succeed in getting healthy as long as you keep on keeping on. Like the show on TV last night said. Life is like the Tango. You can't mess it up. If you get tangled in the Tango...you just Tango on!

HI Katie. Glad you are over the dehydration bit, just remember to get those important fluids in!! I do know the sadness you feel of not eating your favorite foods. I grieved and hated it at first, but as time went on, I could indulge in my favorite foods, just not as much. Which is good, for my favorite foods is why I became obese in the first place!! That and my genes! So please Katie, don't grieve anymore, take one day at a time and always think POSITIVE and not negative!! Negatism gets you no where, just sadness! As the weight drops off, your health improves, and as the days go by, you won't miss food as much, I don't anymore! And believe me, I have been through a lot with my own WLS but nothing feels quiet as good as putting on my size 10/12 jeans!!! Being able to do this is just unbelievable and worth everything(food) that I no longer spend hours shoveling in! Just hang in there and good luck. Get to feeling better soon!! (((((HUGS)))))

Hey Katie, glad to hear your surgery went well and might I say welcome to the losing side. I know you are in pain right now but it will get better very soon.

Hi Katie! I am sure your doctor won't mind giving you a refill on your pain medicine! It's early in your postop journey and some pain is certainly expected. Check the label on your medicine bottle first, you may see that it says it has refills left. Then you just call the pharmacy to get a refill. If not, call your doctor's office for a refill. They can fax a Rx for it to your pharmacy. I live 4 hours from my doctor and they were always happy to give me more pain medicine when asked for it! Congrats on becoming one of the losers here and hang on, it will get better. :)
