I just had my surgery on Monday and got home today. I was scared to bits but I just kept telling myself that I was in charge. You are taking a huge step and it's perfectly normal to be nervous but you are going to do great! You are taking control over a situation that has controlled you. YOU are in the driver's seat now. Buckle up 'cause things may get a little bumpy, but in the long run you'll come out the winner! Good luck and best wishes for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.

Thursday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!
