Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristi, Here's hoping your surgery to be uncomplicated and your recovery smooth! Remember to walk, wALK, WALK! Also remember, you may not feel great until a few weeks out so take your time and take care of yourself. From one North Carolina girl to another...Susan.

Hi Kristi. You are sooooo beautiful in your pics. Congratulations on your surgery date!!! I know you feel great finally getting that date. When I got my date, it seemed like I'd accomplished a huge thing. Then, I started worrying and thinking about wow, am I really ready? LOL. My surgery was 08/15/02 and I'm doing great! Have lost 40lbs. I started at 300lbs. It's seems like now I feel more normal and the weight is just coming off. I guess we adapt to eating smaller amounts after a while in our heads too! Well, congrats! and good luck to you! I hope that you have a no-problem surgery with a speedy recovery! Hugs!!! Melisa
