Hi! this is a great day1 I weighed 12/28/06 and I have lost 68 pounds. I will ce 4 months post-op on 1-9-07. I can hardly believe this. I have never lost this much before. I can't wait to see Dr. Houston! I was scoped(egd) December 16. My ulcer caused scar tissue to almost close my pouch. I feel better. see you later, carol

Hi....this is carol northcutt. I am updating. Well, I am almost to my 3rd month and i have lost fifty pounds. The surgery was ok and I made it through it. I had a complication due to an ulcer. I have had stomach problems all my life and this probably developed from a former problem. I had to go back into the hospital for an additional 5 or six days. It was worth it to get all the nurishment and to get well. I should have stayed longer, but I became very bored and I felt better. I went home and my ulcer bothered me for two weeks. I took my carafate and managed to get fluids in. I am now feeling better and fighting my food addiction everyday. I have made a committment and I am trying day by day to succeed. Pray for your help from above and your surgeon. I love all of my people at Dr. Houstons' office. They are so supportive and truly caring. Just do what your surgeon says, and you will succeed. P.S. It was thrilling to go down 7 sizes and to have my clothes fall off instead if being too tight and miserable. Good luck everyone! As it was said to me, congrats you big looser! Yeah! fifty pounds lost and gone forever! Carol
