Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 85 pounds!!! Good luck!

I pray that God keeps you close to his side during your up coming journey. It's exciting, thrilling and nerve wracking all at the same time. Know that you can always turn to us here at AMOS to assist you through your ups and downs. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I hope for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Good luck and God Bless!!!

Hang in there, Cathy! I know it's a bummer that Dr. Brams will not be operating until March but I believe everything happens for a reason. We may never know the reason, but God does and that's all that matters. I am curious, do you go to the support group meetings? If you get a chance, email me I would love to chat. Not only did I have my surgery 6 weeks ago at Lahey, but I work there, too ;) Wendy

I am also having surgery on 5/21/03. I wanted you to know that you are not alone on that day, and I will say a prayer for you. We will go to the losing side togather and rely on God to keep us in his hand.
