Hi folks! Nikki called me yesterday and sounded very good. She said getting up and down was pretty tough...other than that she said she felt pretty good. We chit-chatted for awhile and I just couldn't get over how much she sounded like her normal enthusiastic self. I am so happy for Nikki and I wish her well with her recovery. It's been great being her angel...Nikki is a real angel herself!!!

Well, I just spoke to Nikki. I called the hospital and asked for her room and to my surprise she answered. I kinda felt bad, I didn't want to disturb her..but she assured me it was fine (Nikki is known for comforting other people even in her time of need) She sounded groggy and had a touch of the post-op blues. She said she was in a little pain but the hospital was pretty good about getting her pain meds. I think I got that right...the phone conection was pretty fuzzy. I will try to talk to her husband at some point over the weekend and get more details and I will post an update then!

Nikki is a post-op!!!I called the hospital today and after talking to four people I received a brief "she did fine in surgery" from a nurse on her floor. I did however receive an email from a good friend of hers stating that he had just left the hospital and Nikki did infact do fine and all went well. She was coming out of the anesthesia and still a little groggy as to be expected. I will try to find out more tomorrow and post as I receive information.
