It won't be long for you now. I can not promise that this is an easy thing, But I can tell you. It is worth it. My life has changed so much since my WLS on June 20th, 2001. I am down 130 pounds. I feel 20 years younger and my husband Ed and I can do so many things together now. I no longer sit and watch on the side lines. I am again a part of my family. That is what makes it worth it, the discovery of life again. Good Luck to you. Heal fast the world is waiting on the new and improved you.

Sorry about not getting in the update sooner. Went to see Kelly on Wed. the 23rd. Good thing I got in there, because that is the day she went home. She is up and about. Drove herself to church on Sunday. The recovery time for lap is INCREDIBLE! She's is ready to rock and roll. Has taken no pain meds since she has been home and has her 1st post-op checkup this Fri. Hopefully only good news!!! Way to go Kelly!!!

I spoke w/ Kelly's husb Peter, around 10:30a. He said the doc said that everything went okay and he would be able to see her in a couple of hrs. Yeah, another success!!!! I will probably be going to see her on Wed. before she leaves. I will call her tomm. to see how much she likes those pain med boosts!!! More later.

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.

Kelly, You are in good hands and you have great support in Carla, your angel. She was a great help to me. I wish you much luck and little pain. You are in pretty good shape and everything should go well for you. I will keep in you in my prayers. Dee

Hi Kelly! Congrats on your upcoming step to a new improved you! I know your nerves are frazzled right now, but find peace in knowing you are doing what is right for you. You have a great angel who was also an inspiration to me before my surgery. I was scared preop, and went to see Carla in the hospital several times and she always encouraged me to go ahead with the surgery that I would be fine. She was right, I am great!! You will be too!! Keep your head high, you too will soon be a member of the Century club and a big LOSER!! Peace & Prayers,
