Hi Rain, I have no words of wisdom as I am pre-op but wanted you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your chin up and stay positive. I know good things will come your way. Hang in there! Nancy K

Hi Rain! One of the most Important tools that we use on or "Journey's" is Patience! You were pumped full of fluids while in the hospital and it will take a little while to get all that out of you. Just follow your doctor's orders and start hunting down the smaller sizes you will be wearing as you progress on your way to the healthier you that be! God Bless and Take care! Julio

Rain: I actually "gained" weight in the hospital due to fluid retention...but today I'm 6 1/2 months out of surgery and have lost 97 lbs. Just give it time...sweetie...our bodies have to adjust to the new stomach and come out of "shock" from the surgery... Hang in there...it's gonna happen. Ann H. :)

Rain, sometimes it's like watching something baking in the oven. It seems to take forever to bake, but when you walk away, before you know it the buzzer is going off. Believe me when I tell you that in a few months it will seem like the weight melted off overnight. I am sure you are noticing many other changes in your body other than what is on the scale, so just go with it and do what the doctor says, you will be fine. You Made It!!! Congratulations. I am happy that all went well for you. Looking forward to you complaining about the protein shakes on the boards.... It's a right of passage you know... lol terri

Rain, congratulations on your surgery. I wanted to tell you that I just had my surgery on the 5th, 3 days after you. I was FIVE POUNDS heavier the day I left the hospital (3 days after lap RNY) than I was the day before surgery. They pump so much fluid in us with the IV. Just think, it a few days or weeks, you and I are going to start seeing our weight disappear. Isn't that going to be FUN!?! I hope you're healing quickly and aren't in too much pain. I'll be looking for you on the board for updates and to see how you're doing. Keep us posted. Gale

Congratulations on successfully joining the losing side! This soon after surgery you probably still have several lbs of water weight gained via the IV at the hospital to get rid of! Just weight (pun intended) for the first month's weigh-in! You'll get the shock of a life time! Good luck and God bless, Karen
