10/3/05 Well Renee....it is your mom here! Your big day is almost here...October 5th! Excitement and a little bit of nerves are surely beginning to brew. You kind of know what to expect because you went through it all with me. And you also know how great I feel....how much more I can do....how much my life has changed...less huffing and puffing.....less aches and pains.....lower blood pressure.....sleep apnea gone.....normal cholesterol...much better health! Your changes are on the way! Just think.....a week from now, a month from now, 6 months from now, a year from now.....what a different person you will be. You are beautiful now....but when you lose this weight....look out world! Little Katie and Emily will have a mommy that won't tire as easily and will love going to the beach with them! Next summer will be awesome for you! You know you are in the best of hands with Dr. O......and you know your dad, your brother and I will be there to support you during your recovery along with your hubby Scott and your in-laws. Stay focused...try to remain calm and just think of all of the positive reasons you are doing this. We love you and we are all very proud of you.....proud of the young woman you have become....proud of the wife that you are...proud of the mommy you are and the love that you have for your two little girls and especially proud to say "she is our daughter and my big sister." Love and hugs from mom, dad and Jason..as they say "see you on the thin side!"

<b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you are experiencing a range of emotions right now. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions. This is a new learning experience for all that choose WLS and we draw so much from each other. There can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a successful and uneventful surgery. <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> .....This surgery has been nothing short of a miracle for me and I will be forever grateful. I've lost 230 lbs and have been at goal for a year now. Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Feel free to look at my profile and see my ups and downs and know I’d not change a thing with anything I’ve experienced. Everything was worth it! Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 257/133 I’M AT GOAL!!!
