confused

i just got a call from the surgical center i was told that i have to go in on the Nov 30 to have new blood work done mines is over 6 months old then they will sumit my paper work...i also called my insureance company they said they have 14 day to answer my paper so now is that a good thing or a bad was any told to go do new blood work /////
