I see you're having surgery with Dr. Baker! If he is the Dr. Baker from Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, WI, we've got the same surgeon! He didn't do my original surgery, but he is taking care of me since my original surgeon left for Pennsylvania - anyway - all that to say he is a great doctor and a great man. You're in excellent hands. I pray you are recovering comfortably by now with the excellent staff at Gundersen taking care of you. I also pray that God will bless you with a complication free recovery followed by a life time of improved health and long term successful weight loss. May your life be filled with wow moments and supportive people to encourage you along the way. When you get home remember to sip, sip, sip your water and get moving as best you can - it'll make a big difference in how you feel and how quickly you recover. I wish you the best! Welcome to the loser's bench! :-)

Wednesday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!
