~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

First-Sophie-I am proud of you for being honest about cheating! I am sure there are others who cheat, but don't fess up :) Second, I haven't had surgery yet, but from what I have read, the MOST weight is going to come off the first 6 months. So you HAVE to make the most of it! You will lose weight from 6-12 months but then your stomach will begin to stretch, and you will get hunger pains again. Plus, with all that you are eating, aren't you afraid of stuffing your tiny pouch? I would be deathly afraid. You have been given a second chance at life, but if you don't use this tool NOW, there aren't any other alternatives. I wish you all the luck in the world!

Sophia, girlie just because you can eat it You know your not suppose to. Even I sometimes slip up. but not often. I eat a (1) hamburger all the time for the high proteins. BUT NO BREAD. instead of fried I boil it, and put ketcup on it and cut it into pieces.I follow my wls rules I did not get cut into and have major surgery to fail once again. If I want anything to eat I focus on high protein meats. NO PASTA,RICE,POTATOES,BREADS or SWEETS. I have loss 105 lbs since 12/6/02 and have lots more to go. Yes it do get hard but I know Im on a mission. LOL you take care and try to stay focused. ~*~Hugs~*~

ditto what Beverly said ... I'm pre-op (June 18), but the nutritionist has emphasized many times ... its the protein that helps you heal faster and keep you energized ... work on that first ... I also know its going to be tough to give up a lot of the foods we like ... if you're like me, I've developed quite a relationship with food over the past 30++ years ... but that's one of the points of this whole thing ... to completely change our eating habits ... and hopefully by starting over, we'll develop better habits ... and when we're able to have anything we want, we won't necessarily make the same mistakes we made that got us here. Best wishes & good luck!!!

Sophia, increase your protein. Try to get 40 to 60 gms of protein in each day and make sure you're taking a multi-vitamin. Sometimes when your B-12 is low you get tired. Best wishes to you for continued success.
