Hello WLS friend~ It's that time again for the Monroe face to face support group monthly meetings. Come on out and celebrate life and living at our support group meeting. We discuss both Pre and Post Op issues as well as the many success's/challenges that come our way. Where is the meeting? Frenchtown Dixie Branch Library 2881 Nadeau Rd. Monroe, MI 48162 When: 3rd Wednesday of EVERY month TIME: 7pm to 9pm. Hope to see you there. All surgeons patients are welcome as well as their support persons. Please JOIN us!!

Sonna, Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery! Don't forget to take a pillow and/or a Bari Buddy (available at the OH.com store) with you to the hospital, you won't be sorry that you did! You need the pillow for all kinds of comforts from coughing to side support and frankly sometimes the hospital pillows just aren't really great. Also, you might inquire with the hospital about whether a fan will be available to you, if not and permitted, take one with you. The combination of the narcotics and the leg cuffs they use to prevent clots makes many people very very hot! bright blessings to you in this part of the journey and much success too!~Caroline O.--

Good Luck on Thursday!!! You must be so excited!! Heck, I'm excited for you!!!! :) I had my surgery about 7 weeks ago. As of last week I was down 40 lbs!! Best thing I ever did and I'm sure you'll feel the same way! Prayers and best wishes for you. Cyndy
