Just saw an updated picture of R. Driver, she looks amazing. It has just been 14 days since her surgery and she is down 26 noticable pounds! Keep up the great work, R.! RayRay

R. is 4 days post op! She is out of the hospital and walking around the hotel with a few other post-ops here in San Diego. She is doing very well. I saw her last night and I could not believe that she had gone through the procedure! She was walking all over the place and on the hunt for the ice machine. I had to insist that she let me help carry the ice back to the room. You go girl!

I was with R. this morning pre-op and she was doing great but very nervous. She is centered in the prayer that she is surrounded by a medical staff there to usher her into a new and healthy way of life. She should be out of the O.R. in 3 more hours. A wonderful coincidence, the surgical prep nurse had the surgery 2 years ago and looks amazing. She was showing all the pre-op gals her before picture. What a wonderful send off into dream-time!

My best wishes to you on your upcoming surgery. I hope all goes well for you and that you have a speedy, problem free recovery. My husband and I BOTH had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in 2001 (in San Diego, CA. ) I had mine in June and have lost 110 lbs with about 30 more to go. My husband had his in Oct. 2001 and has lost 215 lbs and is at goal. We both have the greatest respect for all of the doctors at PB and the staff too. We had the best treatment from our surgeon, Dr. Rumsey. He is fantastic!!! We also had great treatment at Scripps/Mercy hosp. The staff there is well trained and they take good care of you. Good luck to you on your journey to the losing side!! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOU WILL SUCCEED!!!!!

R. is arriving in San Diego as I type. She will be rushed off to Scripps Mercy for her pre-op appointment, which lasts 5 hours. Please hold her in prayer. Her surgery is tomorrow morning at 0700. I'll post another update when I have more info! Thanks AMOS family for all of the support.
