Jennifer, Happy Two Year Anniversary to your new life. I hope it's going wonderfully for you. And please, come back and post how things are. People love to read about life after surgery, especially pre-ops like me!

For some reason the email for OH is dumping me. I work for a liscenced Day Care Provider who uses a food program (1) We cannot force your child to eat!! Even my own children would like to play rather than eat. That being said, make sure your child actually ate the food that was served LOL. (2) 5 year olds are always "starving" and as long as she is being served, low fat, healthy, nutritious food quantity should not matter. My 5 year old tells me when she is full. But she will eat an entire king size candybar after that if you let her. Go figure. (3) Your daughter may just want a chance to sit down with you and chat. Eating may be a way to do this. You might want to find out if this is the case. At 5 they can tell you most of what they want and need. And boy, don't they tell you what they want...Mommy but I waaaanttt it!! LOL. Also, I don't know if your pediatrician is doing this, but I know that our Public Health Dept. is (we're on WIC for the 16 mos old.) giving us a BMI for our children over 3 every 6 months. Even as young as 5, it's a good idea to have that information. Good luck and if you would like to chat, I would love to hear about your other expereinces with your 5 year old and WLS. I am post op and have a almost 5 yr old and a 16 mos old. TIA

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Hey, just a side note, the sugar free Popsicle brand popsicles are great. My mom buys them for her and the whole family ends up eating them because we think they taste better than regular popsicles. Luck be a lady.

PMS cravings suck. Have you tried a No surgar Added Fudgescicle? Or perhaps a protein bar? Look for one with zero impact carbs... Hope this helps. Hugz
