Has anyone had rectal bleeding after surgery?

I have a friend who is 1.5 weeks post op stil in the hospital. She wants me to post and ask if anyone has had rectal bleeding and what was the cause and source. They do not know and she has had to be transfused. She had lap and they will have to open her up if it doesn't stop. I told her I'd give it a shot on here with any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
