For thousands of people, getting insurance approval for Weight Loss Surgery is a drawn-out, agonizing process that can end with a concrete denial. It is time that morbidly obese people not have to worry about fighting insurance companies for a surgery that is approved by the National Institutes of Health as a life saving operation. There are alot of issues that need to be worked out pertaining to the details but this is a start. I will be consulting with Congressmen on the legalities! With this in mind, I have started a petition that will be sent to all members of Congress and to President Bush to require insurance companies to cover this surgery, no questions asked.
