Has anyone heard about getting plastic surgery paid for by donating skin to burn unit

I have heard from more than one person that there are places that you can get your plastic surgery paid for by agreeing to donate your skin to burn units? Has anyone heard of this practice or know of someplace in the NY/NJ area that does this?
