pain in 3 inches from my belly botton on the left side??

Hi all, i had open RNY April 11/06 and have been doing great...Allery season hit hard this week and I have been coughing and coughing and coughing...well you get the idea...is it possible that I have ripped stiches on the inside? could it be the start of a hernia? or just a pulled muscle? It hurts as much as right after surgery and having to cough holding on to a pillow...and advise would be greatly appreciated!!
