Is it better to get your protein throughout the day?

I was looking at my diet and found that I am basically getting all my protein in by lunch (with shakes, protein bar, eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, etc.) - but in the afternoon and evening I am just not hungry. I was wondering - should I be trying to space the protein out more so that I get a third of it at breakfast, lunch and dinner - or does it matter as long as I get it all in during the day?
