Please help me I am close to tears

I had a revision Feb 14th, 2008. I started at 300 pounds and am I down to 278 pounds. It's been six weeks and I feel like I have not lost enough and can eat too much. My favorite thing right now is Cream of Wheat. I can eat shrimp, crab dip, no sugar added ice cream, and fish. Chicken does not go down well. I went to GNC today and got some protein shakes. I've started Jazzercise and have been going about 2-3 times a week. On average I can eat about 1,000 calories a day. What's wrong with me? I feel like a failure and that I should have lost more weight by now.
