6 months out with a terrible sore throat and wondering if it is from lap band

OK, it has been 6months since my lapband and before lapband I had terrible reflux and it has really been gone since surgery. 5days ago I started with a terrible sores and pain in my throat and could not really tell my band was still working. I had a fever to 104 the first day and started an antibiotic but my throat continues to have such pain I can't swallow unless I take ibuprofen. I have wondered if anyone has heard of this? And, does anyone know the symptoms when you don't feel any restriction on eating (6ml in band) and your band could be broke? Please help me the pain is almost most to much to bear.
