Couple weeks out... into the exciting "Pureed foods" diet.

I know what the actual difference is, But I am wondering logically what the difference is between pureed food and food that has been very thoroughly chewed? For example, if you were to puree a soup with noodles... what is the actual difference of a pureed noodle, and a thoroughly chewed noodle? Sometimes the pureed texture just makes things gross. I know that some foods would have to be pureed to get the right breakdown. I am wondering about foods that would easily be thoroughly chewed.
