Okay, I am going to buy insurance with Blue Cross\Blue Shield

I live in Oklahoma and I am a home maker so this means I don't work and I am not on my hubbys ins. so I have decided to buy a plan with Blue Cross\Blue Sheild so that I can try to get approved for WLS. My question is has anyone ever bought their own ins ? not with an employer and been approved with the self bought plan for WLS? This is my last option and if it doesn't work then I will have no choice but to self pay for WLS.
