I am 5 weeks post op and the first 3 weeks went so easily.

I was on blended foods and was able to eat quite a variety with no problems. Since starting on regular foods, I get this lump in my throat when I eat. It begins after just the 2nd or 3rd bite so it isn't because I am eating too much. I barely get in 1/2 cup usually. The only foods that I have no problem with are oatmeal, cottage cheese, applesauce, mixed fruit in natural juices, and carnation instant breakfast (sugar free) which I blend with a banana. Soups seem OK. Basically, it seems I can tolerate soft foods, but any meats or chili (which I ate quite a bit of the first 3 weeks) cause this stuck feeling in my throat or this sharp pain in my center back. I have thown up after lunch the last two days. I love cottage cheese, but really want to start eating "normal" soon. Any suggestions?
