Should I wait it out or not?

I was diagnosed today with Acute-on-Chronic Cholecystitis the pcp suggested I not wait. However, I need to have my hernia repaired g/b removed. I want to get all three (wls) surgical procedures done at the same time. I do not want to go under the knife more than I need to. My question is how long does pre-op testing and Insurance approval actually take? In light of serious medical problem.
