Why does water make my stomach burn and hurt?

I can drink other liquids such as tea, coffee (in moderation), sugar free popcicles, etc with no burning sensation or pressure. When I drink water though (and yes, I sip it slowly) I feel pressure and a painful burning sensation in my stomach. I feel queazy and have to burp to relieve the pressure. It then takes a few moments before I feel 'normal' again. Anyone else have this problem or suggestions?
