Bleeding Ulcer

I had a bleeding ulcer in March. Had 6 units of blood. A flare up in June required another unit. It is on the suture line according to dr. Taking Prevacid 3x a day. Is this common or have I done something werong. Almost 9 months post op n 188 lbs down
