please explain what effect the body has without the pyloric valve

i am wondering, after a "transectional" r.n.y., does the body not have the pyloric shincter "effect" for the contents of the small pouch emptying into the small intestine. a couple of people told me that it is still there after a transectional r.n.y.. the way is understand it is, that the bottom part of the stomach (where the pyloric shincter is located) will be completely dissconnected. so in essence, does the food just "fall" into the small intestine or is the function of that sphincter still intact? i just can't seem to grasp this concept! please explain... thanks!
