I am 3 weeks post op and experienced some sever pain in the lower part of my incision

I did follow up and see my doctor a few hours following the pain episode and he suggested a possible adhesion or "healing pain". Has anyone had pain that is similar to a "stabbing" sensation in this area? My incision is healed and staple free, I have not lifted anything over the specified weight, and I have been extremely careful to ensure I have not done anything to apply direct pressure to my abdomen. I am hoping I am not alone on this one!
