What is the conversion from grams to the U.S. system of measurement?

Two grams of sugar in the metric system is egual to how much sugar in our system? If you know please send the answer on A.S.A.P. This will do us all good for the holidays. I was told not to have more than 2 grams of sugar per serving. Some recipes call for small amounts of sugar and I've been wondering what is too much. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
