Has anyone had a delayed period post op?

I am almost 4 weeks post-op lap RNY (10/15/2002) and doing great. My question is that I was due for my period five days ago and definitely NOT pregnant. Does the surgery throw off hormones to this extent? I am not on any hormone based birth control right now.
