How many post ops lose sexual sensation? Is this common?

I was reading a post and someone stated they had "lost some sensation down there". Is this common? I would really hate to get my life back and not get as much or more enjoyment out of sex as I do now. I am on a self imposed celibacy right now w/ a little "self help" when needed. I am trying to concentrate on my son, my health and getting this surgery to be too concerned w/ sex or a relationship right now. But I am hoping to have both again. Please reassure me!!!
